Sis. KenyettaHost, Fireside Chats for Women
About this fireside
Maybe you have been strong for everyone for a long time. Maybe you lost something, a job, a business, a season you thought would last, and you kept smiling anyway. Maybe you are building something new and cannot tell if you are brave or foolish.
Fireside Chats for Women is a place to sit down. Sis. Kenyetta opens one passage from the King James Bible each week and talks about it the way friends do, plainly and with love. You read it with your coffee, and you leave with one small step.
No masks. No pretending. Just women, the Word, and a warm fire.

Your Best Business
When God Leads, Profit Follows. Business principles from leaders you know, set beside the King James Bible.
A weekly gathering place for women who are healing, building, and believing God again. Warm, honest words from the King James Bible, with a cup of something hot.
I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.
Psalm 139:14 (KJV)
Welcome. Come in out of the cold. Kick your shoes off if you want to. There is a chair for you right here by the fire, and nobody is going to ask you to perform.
Some of us have been the strong one for so long that we forgot we are allowed to sit down. We take care of children, parents, clients, church folks, and friends. We answer "I'm good" and move on to the next thing.
So let us start where God starts with you. Not with what you do, but with who you are. Psalm 139:14 says you are fearfully and wonderfully made. Look at the last part of that verse again. It says your soul knoweth it right well. Somewhere deep down, you already know you were made with care.
That truth does not disappear because of a hard year. It does not shrink because someone left, or something failed, or you feel behind. Your worth was settled before any of that happened.
That is what we will be doing here each week: coming back to what is true. Healing. Purpose. Peace. Building with God instead of around Him. You do not have to have it figured out. You only have to pull up a chair.
She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.
Proverbs 31:27 (KJV)
Every home has a temperature. You can feel it the moment you walk in. Some homes are warm and some are tense, and often one person sets the weather without ever saying a word.
Proverbs 14:1 says, "Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands." Notice the verbs. Building and plucking down are both done with the hands, in small daily choices. A sharp word. A softer answer. Prayer before the argument, or after it.
Proverbs 31:27 says she looketh well to the ways of her household. Looking well is more than managing a schedule. It means paying attention. Noticing who is quiet at dinner. Noticing the child who is acting out because something is wrong underneath. Noticing the husband who has stopped talking.
Verse 26 shows what comes out of her mouth: "She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness." Wisdom and kindness together. Many of us are good at one and weak at the other. The home needs both.
Here is the part we do not say enough. You cannot build a home by yourself, and you were never asked to. A house is held up by more than one beam. If you are carrying the whole thing right now, tired and unseen, that is worth saying out loud, kindly, to the people who share the roof.
This week, we are looking at home from where women stand. Next hour, we will hear it from the men, and ask what we can build together.
Week 3 · Peace Under Pressure · 5 min read · Sis. Kenyetta
Peace in the Middle of the Process
Praying through the part nobody sees
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6-7 (KJV)
If you are building something, a business, a ministry, a brand, a new chapter, you know the middle is the hardest part. The excitement of starting is gone. The results have not shown up yet. You are working in the dark.
That is when anxiety does its loudest talking. Am I wasting time? Is it too late? What if it does not work? The numbers on the screen start to feel like a verdict on your worth.
Philippians 4 gives a very practical answer. Be careful for nothing means be anxious for nothing. Then it tells you what to do with the worry: take it to God in prayer, with thanksgiving, and make your requests known.
Look at what comes after. The peace of God, which passeth all understanding. Not peace because the problem is solved. Peace that does not make sense on paper. Peace that keeps, or guards, your heart and your mind.
Building with God means doing the work in front of you and releasing the result. Send the invoice. Make the post. Follow up. Then pray, give thanks for what is already true, and let Him hold the rest.
The process is not a delay. It is where roots grow.
Week 4 · Work as Worship · 5 min read · Sis. Kenyetta
Build It Like It Is Holy
Faith, work, and the woman with a field to plant
And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;
Colossians 3:23 (KJV)
Many of us split our lives in two. There is church, and there is work, and somehow only one of them feels holy. Colossians 3:23 closes that gap: whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord.
Look at the woman in Proverbs 31. "She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard." She weighed it, she decided, she bought, she planted. That is business, and the Bible puts it in the middle of a portrait of a godly woman.
Verse 18 says, "She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night." She knows her work has value and she does not apologize for it. She also keeps her light burning. She is not working from fear. She is working from purpose.
Whether you teach, sell, cook, cut hair, run a ministry, build a brand, or manage a home full of people, do it heartily. Not only when it pays. Not only when someone is watching. Honest prices. Kept promises. The same woman at the register and at the altar.
And let your worth rest somewhere deeper than your results. A slow month does not change who you are in God. Build with excellence, release the outcome, and let Him be the one who gives the increase.
This week we are talking about work from the women's side of the circle. Next hour we will hear the men, and find out how we can back each other up.
